The McAlester High School Symphonic Band under the direction of Mr. Andrew Hatch, is a dynamic musical ensemble comprised of student musicians from McAlester High School. This advanced band includes a wide variety of instruments, such as woodwinds (flutes, clarinets, saxophones), brass (trumpets, trombones, French horns, tubas), and percussion (drums, cymbals, xylophones).

The band is known for its high level of musicianship and its dedication to performing complex and diverse repertoires. They regularly practice to hone their skills and prepare for various performances throughout the academic year. These performances include school concerts, regional and state competitions, community events, and special ceremonies.

The McAlester High School Symphonic Band not only focuses on musical excellence but also on fostering teamwork, discipline, and a passion for music among its members. Through their participation in the band, students have the opportunity to develop their musical talents, gain performance experience, and build lasting friendships.
