6TH GRADE BAND
The 6th Grade Beginner Band at Parker Intermediate Center is an exciting and dynamic program designed to introduce young students to the world of music. Directed by Mr. Franscisio Lopez, the band provides a supportive and engaging environment for students to learn the basics of playing a musical instrument.

In this program, students play instruments including woodwinds, brass, and percussion. They receive instruction on fundamental techniques such as reading music, proper posture, breathing, and finger placement. Through regular practice and rehearsal, students develop their skills and gain confidence in their musical abilities.

The Beginner Band has class rehearsals during the school day, where they work on scales, simple melodies, and eventually full pieces of music. These rehearsals are not only educational but also fun, as students get to play together and experience the joy of making music as a group.

Throughout the year, the 6th Grade Beginner Band performs at various school events and concerts, showcasing their progress and hard work to family, friends, and the school community. Under Mr. Lopez's expert guidance, students learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, all while cultivating a lifelong appreciation for music.
