THE PRIDE OF MCALESTER COLOR GUARD

The Pride of McAlester Color Guard is part of the Pride of McAlester marching band program. This ensemble combines elements of dance, flag-spinning, rifle tossing, and other visual performance arts to enhance the overall presentation and musical experience of the marching band.

  • Competitions and Performances: The color guard participates in numerous competitions and performances throughout the year. They perform at football games, parades, and band competitions at regional and state levels. Their performances are judged on precision, creativity, and overall impact, contributing to the band's overall score in competitions.

  • Training and Discipline: Members of the color guard undergo rigorous training in both technical skills and physical conditioning. They practice routines that require high levels of coordination, stamina, and artistic expression. This training not only prepares them for performances but also instills values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

  • Community Representation: As part of the Pride of McAlester program, the color guard serves as ambassadors for their community.
